Don't miss the wine and cheese hour in the afternoon or the complimentary continental breakfast served each morning. St Paul St. Catherine St was nice but not as good as last time. Seemed to be not as much going on and a lot more homeless, beggers there. Market St Jean-Talon was great. Could have spend more tine there. Great local food and bakery. Fine wine and cheeses, lobster, oysters and bread.

Casino Montreal was nice place to spend a day. Hard to get to for all the construction going on. Montreal is a big city with infinite things to do and see. As in most big cities, there were a lot of people and vehicles everywhere. The historical properties were magnificent. One day there was not enough. Some old town vibe mixed with a cosmopolitan city vibe. Loved the Botanic Gardens, an overlooked site by many travelers.

It has a good public transportation system in place but it is also very east to walk to most attractions. Beautiful city with lots to do and see and great metro system for getting around. Very bicycle friendly, bike rentals and bixi bike taxis available. Felt very Mediterranean in old Montreal in Summer and, of course, French is first language and most speak English too. We travel and vacation mostly by car. That means we've been almost everywhere on the east coast and this was our first venture into Canada.

We live in NYC so that kinda ruins other cities for us to compare but halfway through the vacation there we all agreed that this was our favorite city previously the family was split between Boston, DC and Charlotte. You can walk everywhere. The streets let in tons of natural light. There are trees everywhere. The museums are smaller but amazing. We could've spent days in Old Town.

Their Botanical Gardens is worth the visit! It's a beautiful city! We stayed 2 nights and actually 1 probably would have been enough. Every street we turned down seem to be torn up. Not sure whos idea that was but it was a bad one!

The location is the best ever for someone who is doing business or anything social downtown, the staff are extremely friendly and the amenities are wonderful.
